Job applicant profile becomes part of the job search process
Publishing a job applicant profile will become part of the job search process from 1 September 2026. The profile helps make your skills and expertise visible to employers and may also open doors to hidden job opportunities. The more comprehensively you describe your skills, work experience, and interests, the easier it is for employers to find you.
New job seekers have 15 working days from the start of their job search to publish their job applicant profile. If your job search began before 1 September, the profile-related obligations will take effect the next time you use employment services.
Need help creating your profile? Start by completing your job applicant profile in the My Employment Path (Oma työpolku) service. Employment Services specialists are available to support you if needed.

Have you already activated Suomi.fi Messages?
Official mail is primarily digital from April forward.
As of 14 April 2026, when you identify yourself in Job Market Finland or another authority’s electronic service for the first time, you will be directed to activate Suomi.fi Messages. From then on, that is where you will receive mail from several public authorities. Suomi.fi Messages will replace official paper mail.
