Project Description

The aim of the project is to strengthen and clarify cooperation between parties, promoting integration in the Southern Satakunta region.

The target groups are people living in the area, who are citizens from outside the European Union / non-Schengen countries, as well as authorities and organisations operating in the same sphere of integration.

An operating model for multilingual social orientation, suitable for the area and the training of instructors, will be mapped out and prepared during the project. In addition, premises are planned as a meeting place for people with a foreign background and the native population, where different groups can meet regularly.

The City of Rauma is implementing the Together in Multicultural South Satakunta – project together with Eura, Eurajoki, Huittinen and Säkylä. The project will continue until 2026.

Cooperation partners in the project include local organisations, religious communities, employment authorities, educational institutions and other projects. The project is funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), administered by the European Union.
