Together Toward a Sustainable Future

Sustainability is at the core of BMH Technology Oy’s values. Organization of approximately 170 professionals is guided by a shared vision, strategy, and goals.
Solutions that promote the circular economy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions are part of BMH Technology Oy’s daily operations, as the company manufactures sophisticated material handling systems and waste processing solutions.
The company is purposefully reducing the carbon footprint of its own operations and implementing solutions that positively impact its customers’ carbon balance. The greatest impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions comes through the carbon footprint of the plants delivered to customers.
– We operate on the principle of continuous improvement and annually assess the impact of our measures on our carbon footprint. In our own production, for example, we have improved heat recovery and switched to LED lighting, says CEO Mikko Osara.

The most important thing is to identify and focus on areas where we can have a direct impact.
– We calculate the lifecycle carbon footprint of our equipment, which is influenced by factors such as manufacturing methods, materials, and logistics. We can present this data and our future development plans to our customers.
Pioneering as a Competitive Advantage
At BMH, sustainability stems from our own initiative, which also aligns with our customers’ requirements. We expect the same from our subcontractors. Climate awareness plays a major role in ensuring that our strategy and goals are clearly reflected in our employees’ values.
Sustainability is part of every stage of our daily operations.
– We are launching a sustainability process in which we will audit our suppliers not only on quality but also on sustainability, says sustainability expert Liisa Jaakkola.
Material recycling and renewable fuel solutions are key areas of research and development.
– By preparing for the future in advance, you can turn responsibility into a competitive advantage. If you wait and see, you’ll fall behind, Osara reminds us.
