Maiju Järvenpää from the University of Turku participated in the Rauma Summer Tech Trainee Campaign in the summer of 2025 and worked as a procurement intern at BMH Technology.

– During the summer, I gained valuable work experience, learned new things about the technology industry, and got to enjoy the summer atmosphere in Rauma at the same time. The summer engineering student campaign made applying for a summer job much easier. Thanks to it, I was able to work far from my own study or home town without worrying about paying two rents. In addition, the bicycle provided by the campaign made my commutes smooth and gave me a great opportunity to get to know the city. In my free time, Rauma offered plenty to do. I spent my free time mainly playing beach volleyball on the Otanlahti beach and swimming at the outdoor pool. The fitness opportunities, cultural offerings, and diverse restaurants pleasantly surprised me. I should also mention the Lace Week, which was a particularly memorable experience with its markets and concerts.

– Overall, the experience was very rewarding, and I can warmly recommend both applying for the summer internship program and visiting Rauma. This is a great opportunity for both students and employers.
